Summer is here and that means that Capital Challenge Walk MS is right around the corner!  We can't wait to celebrate our 10th anniversary with you all! Next week is Team Challenge Week and we will be encouraging and supporting andencouraging you all week, plus we will be sharing some good news in the fight against MS.

Each year we invite teams participating in the Capital Challenge Walk MS to participate in a week long promotion to recruit, fundraise and build team spirit! From June 25-29, teams can win amazing prizes by earning points when you complete fundraising, recruitment and spirit challenges.  Let's see which team will be the BEST OF THE BEACH!  

• Our breakthrough research has helped identify which genes contribute to MS susceptibility -- a key to understanding the cause and how to prevent MS.
   
• We explore all promising paths, including novel and unique opportunities to bring solutions to everyone affected by MS.
   
• We are at the forefront of entirely new areas of MS research including the discovery of nerve and myelin repair potential.
   
• The National MS Society recently launched $16 million in new research as part of the NOW Campaign to STOP disease progression, RESTORE what's been lost and END MS forever.
   

• One point for having four or more registered fundraising team members on your team by the end of Team Challenge Week (one point max)
• One point for each fundraising team member (walker or super crew) you recruit and register during Team Challenge Week (unlimited points)
• One point for each volunteer or crew who registers on your team during Team Challenge Week (three points max)

• One point for each team member who has raised $750 or more by the end of Team Challenge Week (unlimited points)
• One point for each team member who updates their personal webpage by the end of Team Challenge Week (four points max)
• One point for every $100 your team raises online during Team Challenge Week (unlimited points)

• One point for every team member who likes the National MS Society, Washington DC Metro Area on Facebook AND joins the Capital Challenge Walk MS event.  Email Teams@MSandYOU.org with the names of your team members who have completed this challenge.  (unlimited points, must do both)
• One point for every team member who sends in a picture wearing a National MS Society or team t-shirt on a training walk or at a fundraising event.  (two points max)
• One point for each fundraising event or training walk you submit to the Challenge Walk MS Calendar, located off of the main Capital Challenge Walk MS site, www.CapitalChallengeWalkMS.org. Send your events to CapitalChallengeWalkMS@MSandYOU.org and we'll post them for you! (two points max)

Individual Fundraising Incentive: For every team member who has raised $750 or more by the end of Team Challenge Week, they will receive their socks in July, instead of waiting until August.
